Rejected petition Armadale road speeding petition.

More details

As students of Ladybridge High School we are currently doing our Citizenship GCSE and we are interested in making Armadale road a safer place for both children and adults to travel along.

Due to the crash that happened back in June of 2005, we are highly concerned about children’s safety whilst travelling to and from school.

By filling in this questionnaire you are helping us improve the safety of the surrounding area of Beaumont primary school.

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

The e-petition system is designed to allow citizens to call on central Government to take some action. Responsibility for road safety on particular roads is the responsibility of the local authority. You don't say where your school is, but we guess that it is in Bolton; so the local authority would be Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council. You may wish to resubmit your petition, asking the Government to bring the issue to the Council's attention in some way. You may also, of course, wish to petition the Council itself directly in some way.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
