Petition Make MP's use budget shops when spending expenses
More details
Time & Time again we the British public see reports of MP's Spending Ludicrous amounts of money on items then reclaiming it back under expenses which we the British Tax Payers have to fund.
It's time that expenses were limited to the cost accessible to british public, using everyday stores such as Poundland and Bargain shops. MP's should not be allowed to recieve £50 expenses for an item that could be purchased at a fraction of the price in everyday stores and markets.
MP's Should not have the right to simply go into Harrods, Marks & Spencer's etc simply because they normally purchase their goods there, if the item is to be reclaimed then it should be bought at the cheapest place regardless of circumstances.
We call on the Government to introduce legislation preventing claims for items that have been purchased in a Brand Named Store when similar items are available cheaper elsewhere.
