Petition Educate Children on Dog Handling as part of Primary Education
More details
Research from Australia shows that the most notorious breed under the dangerous dogs act (the American Pit Bull Terrier) only expresses a 1% probability of showing aggression to a human or and other animal.
Dog aggression is a handler issue rather than a breed issue.
Taking funds used to implement breed specific law and channelling it into the education of young children will not only teach children how to approach a dog safely, but will raise a new generation of more able and responsible dog owners.
Make Dog Handling and Awareness a compulsory part of primary and secondary education
