Petition Property used to fund care in old age

In old age you are forced to sell your property to fund care until there is only £23,000 left.
If you lucky enough to pass your property on to your heirs seven years before you go into care there is no claim and the state funds your care.
If you have not been able to buy property and have assets of less then £23,000 the state funds your care.
All this is discriminatory and extremely unfair because it affects ordinary people that probably do not have easy access to legal advice and have worked hard to buy a modest property and live a financially independent life without state support.
The government needs to change the law to stop this discrimination against ordinary working people.
