Closed Stopping benefits for European nationals

EU law doesn't oblige your new country to grant income support or any other kind of social assistance to jobseekers looking for a job for the first time in that country." - read it for yourself at http://europa.eu/youreurope/citizens/work/job-search/social-security/index_en.htm

If you leave your home country to look for work in another European country, it is the HOME country which pays benefits. If you don't find work after 3 months you are supposed to go home.

So if any benefits are being paid, this is down to either a) badly written UK law, or b) badly implemented UK law, both of which are the responsibility of the UK government, not the EU.

So why are UK tax payers funding the bill?
Is it because of laws making them NO! It is a choice they have made which costs us billions per year.
