This petition is to lobby the Department of Transport to withdraw the Free Travel on local buses for Pensioners.

In the light of the current recession why are local councils closing libraries and swimming pools etc yet the government still insists on allowing free bus travel to pensioners.

The money saved on withdrawing this funding can be used to protect facilities for the whole community regardless of age.

Why is the Department of Transport discriminating against other age groups, by subsidising free travel for Pensioners.
