As I understand it, accident rates with England vs. Germany do not differ much - I would like to propose the limit is, unlimited, unless where necessary, like in Germany. I think if you compare the accident statistics with the UK vs. Germany consider the speed differential the accident rate it actually probably lower in Germany, considering they can go as fast as they like, and generally don't actually, on average, for above 100mph.
