The waiting list for assessment for autism spectrum disorders in Pembrokeshire is 4 -7 years. The lead paediatrician retired and has not been replaced. The lead administrator is on sick leave and no-one can access her database. Children awaiting diagnosis are loosing vital time that could be spent on specialised early interventions. Families are at breaking point.
