Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe has acknowledged that rape victims were pressured by police officers to withdraw their allegations so that officers could meet performance targets.

He has also commented that these cases from 2008-2009 are "relatively historic" and that at least two officers involved have been promoted since.

The unit involved, as well as Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe, should be held accountable for these hideous acts.
