We need to get ICT back as part of the core curriculum.

We are currently in a downward spiral and in teh process of de-skilling an entire generation of young talented children.

We need them with a basic understanding of how to use software packages to write a good CV, or to have an understanding that can be built upon by industry. At present we are forcing children to learning different programming languages, yes we need a basic understanding, but we also need to learn how to lay out a letter or a CV, how to setup a spread sheet and a database.

Where will the UK be in the next 5-10 years with no IT skills coming out of schools, it is very worring.
