Petition Hair Colour Discrimination
More details
Great Britain has a strong stance against discrimination on grounds of race, colour, disability and sexuality, yet discrimination on the grounds of hair colour, specifically red hair, is still ignored.
The UK Commission for Racial Equality refuses to recognise "gingerism" as a hate crime. In May 2009 a schoolboy committed suicide after he was bullied due to his red hair.
I ask the government to address this issue, by making hair colour discrimination a criminal offence, in line with racism and other discrimination.
