Rejected petition Statatory perternity pay for self employed dads now!

I'd like to see all self employed dads recieve statatory perternity pay.

Its important for dads to be around at such an important time and this would help many to do so.

the self employed pay 20% tax, plus 9% class 4 NI, plus £2.90 a week class 2 NI.

Self employed workers now make up approx 14% of the population with 370,000 workers becoming self employed over the last 4 yaers.
