We the undersigned propose a fixed date of birth restriction on smoking.
This would restrict the sale and use of tobacco products to/by those born from an agreed date onward, allowing a gradual phasing out of tobacco use in our society.
The proposed date is 1/1/2000: a date that allows time to plan for the change and also a memorable date, useful for both education prior to the change and enforcement afterwards.
