Since local authority's have been running the penalty charge notices and using the proceeds for revenue generation there is enormous range of ticket costs.

I suggest the government set a maximum penalty of £25 for any minor parking offence and a 28 day timeframe to pay the charge, no discounts just simple fixed fee charge.

I suggest no ticket should be issued to cars stopped for less than 2 minutes eg dropping off a person or collecting an item, when is no obstruction to traffic or problems arising out the vehicle being stopped.
