Closed petition PETITION – To INSTALL a ROUNDABOUT at the A47 BROADEND JUNCTION
Closed on
We, the undersigned, petition the Department of Transport, The Highway Agency and Norfolk County Council to:
INSTALL a ROUNDABOUT at the A47 BROADEND JUNCTION.
Why a Roundabout:
A ROUNDABOUT at the A47 Broadend Junction is a Priority, as there have far been too many needless DEATHS and INJURIES over the years at this Junction causing suffering and devastation to families.
Local Residents often use another route, even though it makes their journey longer, because the Junction is too Dangerous to Negotiate.
ROUNDABOUTS are recognised as a SAFE & EFFICIENT form of JUNCTION. Roundabouts Promote Safe and Efficient Traffic Flow, and are an appropriate Solution for Staggered Junctions experiencing high numbers of collisions.
The £170k allocated to upgrade the A47 Broadend Junction could be used toward the cost.
It is agreed that the LAYOUT of the Broadend Junction is Extremely Poor. And the present Layout has proved ineffective.
