Petition Npower 68% increase hidden in contract

Npower have a clause that effects all small business, at the end of a contract if you don't send a resignation letter in, you will be automatically put on a new contract that you know nothing about and given a 68% increase in your tariffs. Apparently there are no rules that prevent this, private customers have redress but business customers do not. How can any Government allow a Utility to behave in this manner, our Government should be protecting small business from this type of behaviour
