Closed petition RECOGNISE THIS CONDITION AND CHANGE DLA POLICY TOWARDS PEOPLE WHO SUFFER FROM HYPER MOBILITY SYNDROME!.

The government first of all needs to recognise the condition HYPER MOBILITY SYNDROME as a serious, deteriorating, disabling condition, which isn't really known by doctors etc.
A change is needed with DLA policy towards people who suffer life with HMS who cannot work, so high rate is needed.
HMS is a joint condition, a multi-system inherited connective tissue disorder thought to be caused by faulty fibrous tissue matrix proteins such as collagen.
People with HMS may develop other conditions caused by their unstable joints:
Joint instability causing sprains, tendinitis, or bursitis when doing activities that would not affect a normal person
Early-onset osteoarthritis
Chronic pain daily
Subluxations/dislocations, especially in the shoulder
Chronic fatigue
Knee pain
Back pain, prolapsed discs or spondylolisthesis
Temporomandibular Joint Syndrome
Increased nerve compression disorders e.g. carpal tunnel syndrome
Dont respond well to normal doses of anaesthetic/pain medication.
