Tighter control is required over the sale of laxatives which are currently freely available to buy over the counter. Laxative abuse can have serious and even fatal consequences. This petition calls for the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency to impose tighter control over laxative sales in a similar manner to the control of paracetamol sales.
