Rejected petition Medicinal Cannabinoid legalisation
More details
We, the undersigned, call on the present government to make provision in the legalisation of Medicinal Cannaniboids; to permit the medical use of cannabis itself, on the following grounds;
- The use of Cannaniboids has shown sustained efficacy as both a treatment and/or a therapeutic agent in conditions including AIDS, Cancer, Glaucoma, and Multiple Sclerosis.
- Further medical claims have been made for it's use as a treatment in: Headaches, Migraines, Asthma, Stroke, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, Alcoholism, and Insomnia.
- Cannabis is a proven analgesic and offers an alternative pain relief in a range of chronic conditions.
- Cannabis is being used medically in spite of law, adding to the current UK 'drugs problem.'
- The use of cannabis medicinally is accepted as a mitigating factor under Sentencing Council guidelines, if being cultivated or found in possession of someone.
