Closed petition Dog Licensing
Closed on
the UK is homing around 8 million dogs whilst a percentage of these owners should not be entitled to owning a dog. Owners of dogs across the UK should have to pay an annual fee and provide evidence of suitable insurance, and micro chipped
in the UK around 210,000 people are attacked by dogs each year,
many of these people will then have to be out of work, having the NHS to pay for cost of treatment when it should be the owners insurance paying for this
it should be made illegal to own a dog without the insurance or keeping up to date details of ownership,
by issuing licenses to owners this will reduce the amount of dangerous owners having these animals and will reduce the amount of money spent on removing dangerous dogs from homes. The money raised can be put back into the communities throughout the UK to improve parks, walks etc
