This petition is an opportunity for those of us who were not saddened by the news of former prime minister Maggie Thatcher's death to voice our opposition to any proposal for a publically funded statue to be erected in her honour. We want the government to pledge that not one penny of tax payer's money will be used to provide a long term or permanent memorial to her legacy.
