It is time for the government to act in the case of empty homes and commercial property being left vacant and falling into disrepair.

This makes areas look more deprived in these austere times. Make owners responsible and bring out a law that makes them either bring the property up to a good condition or demolish them at their own expense and let the government make better use of the land. i.e. housing etc
