Petition Staff in schools should be liable to damage/loss if they are the cause

Currently schools in England state that if an item is confiscated and is lost, damaged or even broke, the school and staff are not held liable. This clearly needs to change. It is unfair as this law could easily be exploited. I believe students should be given receipts by law and the staff member which confiscates the item needs to sign a legal document holding them responsible.
