No child should be in the care of a drug addict, whos life revolves around drugs and getting their fix, not the welfare of their child.

Many children in this situation, are neglected, abused and malnourished as parents in a drugged state are simply not fit to be parents.

The Government should do more to prevent children being neglected and consider automatically taking children into care, either permanently or temporarily until parents can become clean of drugs and prove they can be responsible parents.
