Closed petition Charge drunk people for using casualty services for alcohol related problems

Closed on

Alcohol admissions place a huge strain on casualty departments, occupy hospital beds that are needed for others and cost a fortune in drug treatments and staff time. Also, staff are threatened and security staff may be needed. Therefore hospitals should have the option, at their discretion, of charging for the costs of treatment for alcohol related admissions to accident and emergency departments.
