In light of recent events, I have created this e-petition to encourage the Government to fully support British Nationals sentenced to clearly excessive prison sentences or the death penalty overseas. To ensure that they have the same legal and financial help that they would receive in the UK.
And if at all possible encourage the holding country to allow the detainee to serve there sentence here in the UK.
