Petition Legal representatives of criminals convicted of serious offences such as terrorism, murder, rape and paedophilia to be prosecuted

More details

Where a criminal convicted of a serious crime employs legal assistance to lodge an appeal which subsequently fails, the legal representative in court should be held accountable for all costs incurred and prosecuted for complicity and/or attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Similarly, in the instance of a fresh conviction being issued for a serious crime, which is supported by what the judge considers to be an overwhelming volume of evidence, the legal representative in court should be held accountable for all costs incurred and prosecuted for complicity and/or attempting to pervert the course of justice.

The aim is to dissuade legal representation consistently standing in the way of justice and to save taxpayers money being wasted on farcical legal battles.
