Petition Time Limit on Criminal Prosecutions
More details
There should be a Time Limit on Criminal Prosecutions, so that no one may be arrested and charged with a crime committed more than twenty years before, if the evidence is primarily based upon eyewitness testimony. This being because people's memories are not reliable after such a long period. A possible extension to maybe twenty five or thirty years might be permitted if other evidence such as DNA is available.
