The following website details an alternative crossing to ease congestion on the M25.

This proposal has the added benefits of easing congestion on Canvey Island and linking well with the new Road Changes at Sadlers Farm in Benfleet, and providing Tidal Power.

The existing proposals being put forward include cutting new road through a good Park heavily used by local residents in Grays, and running the road very near to existing housing.
