Preserved railways in this country are only allowed to operate at 30Mph, due to strict health and safety operations that are imposed by HMRI, this ensures that the railways are not nearly as exciting as they should be.

The railways would benefit from revenue increases if a speed restriction could be increased with no major issues in terms of detriment to any parties.
