Rejected petition ADVERTISING
More details
All advertising, with the exception of clothing, should be made to be not gender-specific, so as not to exclude consumers on grounds of sexual orientation or religious affilation, as well as to address women's concerns over sexualisation in advertising and to prevent psuedo-pornographic imagery from all advertising.
For instance, an advertisement for perfume claiming it will have a positive effect on men discriminates against lesbians and an advertisement claiming aftershave's effect on men discriminate against gay men. Also, advertisements with nudity discriminates against and offend muslims and other religious groups.

Why was this petition rejected?
It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Can you be more specific in the title? Also, there are currently laws that govern advertising and discrimination, so some of what you are suggesting is actually legislated for, and can be dealt with under current legislation. Many thanks
