Petition Ban piercing of infants too young to give their consent.
More details
Many children get their ears pierced by their parents when they are far too young to understand what is going on. They cannot give their consent or object. Ear piercing is painful and can lead to infection and permenant disfigurement.
It should be the choice of the individual concerned, and not his/her parents, to undergo such an invasive and permenant procedure, purely for aesthetic reasons.
An age limit needs to be imposed to prevent the violation of babies and young infants.
