Rejected petition Take action against Altaf Hussain for making death threats.
More details
Mr Altaf Hussain, leader of the Pakistani political party MQM has made a direct death threat to people protesting in Karachi. He made these threats via a telephone conference to his party workers on the 12th of May 2013.
Here is a video of the speech which was live televised: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=Vdk1j4OEIsM
From 4:00 onwards he says: "mey chahon toh Teen Talwar walo ko talwaar se chhalni kar doon"
Translation: "If I wish, I can order my friends to rip apart the people (protestors) at Teen Talwar."
Altaf Hussain has been living in London for the past two decades, having been granted British citizenship by the UK he has been leading his party from here. It is a well-known fact that political parties in Karachi have militant wings and are responsible for thousands of deaths every year. Making a death threat is serious criminal offence in the UK and we demand authorities take swift action to prevent possible loss of innocent life.
