Closed petition Teach basic parenting skills in schools
Closed on
We the undersigned ask that the Government introduce parenting skills as part of the curriculum.
Ensuring that the next generation of parents knows basic techniques for meeting the needs of their future children will reduce societal problems in education, crime, health, & employment.
By the time they leave education, ALL young people should know that their future children will need;
• To be read to
• Play
• Interaction
• A clean & stable home
• Boundaries
• A bedtime
• A balanced diet
• To feel loved and wanted
When the input that children need to develop, learn & grow is missing, it has costly effects on society. The same negative cycles will keep repeating until change happens.
Give children information, tools & techniques to meet their future children's needs. Cultivate the ability to nurture.
Benefits will be seen by society as a whole
We the undersigned believe it’s time to break the cycle. Add parenting skills into the national curriculum.
