Rejected petition The BBC is not fit for purpose

The BBC is an outdated, over inflated organisation that has lost it's way and moved away from it's core values.

I propose that it should be scaled back to focus on providing quality programming to the core channels and to bring back sport to the public.

It is unacceptable that the public continues to fund the waste at the BBC, not only in terms of gross salaries for "stars" but also on mindless television and radio shows that only serve to remind us how out of touch the BBC is with the rest of the country

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

And the day-to-day running of the BBC is not anything the Government can influence. You can write to the BBC Trust, or the Director-General, or lobby your MP to contact them?

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
