After the shut down of Air Southwest in 2011 and the closure of Plymouth Airport with its 4 flights a day via Newquay Cornwall Airport to London Gatwick, Flybe have announced they are to cease operating Newquay to London in early 2014 mainly due to a hike it charges at Gatwick jeopardising economic development and job creation for Southwest England. We are asking the government to preserve an air link from Cornwall to the capital as a matter of priority!
