Drummer Lee Rigby was a British soldier, murdered in dreadful circumstances. He is a British hero and as such deserves to be recognised. "A state funeral is a public funeral ceremony, held to honour people of national significance. Generally, state funerals are held in order to involve the general public in a national day of mourning after the family of the deceased gives consent."
