Petition Help to protect children’s teeth from unhealthy food and drink
More details
This petition calls upon Government to take a robust approach to reducing child dental health inequalities and support the efforts of dentists and parents, which are too often undermined by aggressive marketing of sugary and acidic food and drink.
Government has begun to tackle this issue by controlling the advertising of unhealthy products. We urge it to go further and introduce a 20% tax on sugary and acidic drinks and to expand the remit of the Advertising Standards Authority to include checkouts.
