There are regularly, announcements regarding the disbursement of taxpayer pounds on things I simply am not prepared to contribute to, like the recently announced HUGE amount of money spend on legal fees for foreign asylum seekers - THERE IS NOT ENOUGH SPACE HERE TO LIST ALL OF THOSE WHICH WE SHOULDN'T BE CONTRIBUTING TO WITHOUT A CHOICE NOT TO. By changing to a system whereby income tax is paid in arrears I could then tell you that I am withholding X amount because I don't want it used to fund whichever particular political project is flavour of the month for our dishonourable elected leaders.
