Rejected petition Ban all electric training devices and all types of prong/pinch collars for Dogs & Cats

This petition is to call for a complete ban on the sale and use of these inhumane and barbaric devices used to train or correct animals behavior (particulary Dogs & Cats).The electric shock collar (or E-Collar) is a device which is worn by the dog (or cat). An electric shock is delivered to the dog’s neck by two prongs which make contact with the skin the level of shock may be controlled by the handler remotely. Other types of electronic 'training' devices are:
Electric shock dog leads - Electric stay mats - the 'wireless crate'. Electric scat mats - Electric fencing - a boundary wire with radio signal which triggers a warning bleep then shocks. These devices can be freely brought and used by anyone.
Prong collars are designed to stop dogs from pulling they can cause serious physical and emotional damage to the dog. The use of prong/pinch collars has caused many horrific injuries to the head and neck. The metal spikes of prong collars pinch the skin when they pull.
