The NHSBT (National Health Service Blood and Transplant) plans to cut donor sessions in the North Devon area and to make front line staff at The North Devon Blood Collection Team redundant.

This decision has been made without consultation of volunteer donors, disregarding the effectiveness and efficiency of the dedicated staff and, we the undersigned believe, the potential effect on donors, potential donors and beneficiaries.

This petition calls on the Government to insist that full, appropriate and meaningful consultation of staff, donors and other stakeholders is conducted before any changes to the service are planned to ensure that local rural services are maintained at their current level.
