Rejected petition Cut Rates and Tax to save Small & Medium Businesses

The high street is dying, small and medium sized business (pubs, green grocers, family butchers, fishmongers, and other small & family run businesses) are struggling to survive because of the huge costs involved in just staying open.

The government must act to improve the tax situation for small & medium sized businesses and put a stop to the unsustainable increases in business rates which are forcing the life blood of the UK economy to shut-up-shop and close for business.

Fair burden MUST be put on the huge multinationals that seem to have the ways and means to avoid paying their fair share.
