To compel banks and building societies to stop using weekends as a way to hold on to our money by saying "weekends are not banking days" BACS is an auto system and should work the same way as Faster Payments.

BACS transfers should not be put on hold over weekends & Bank Holidays that enable banks & building societies to hold on to our money and not paying interest for up to 5 days.

Their computers work 24/7 and should process BACS in the same way.
