To help improve general health, and help stop the rising obesity/diabetes epidemic, we should heavily subsidise the price of fresh produce (fruit/vegetables) by taxing sugar/artificial sweeteners/colourings/other unhealthy additives.

This would also provide the additional benefit of reduced healthcare costs.
