Remove ALL politically affiliated Councillors from Local government.
It is impossible for any political councillor to fight for the best interests of the community when he/she is directed on how to vote for any given local policy.

All Councillors should be totally independent and free to serve their communities without political interference or bias.

From 1st january 2014, any Councillor elected should be an Independent Councillor with no ties, past, present or future, to any political party.
