Put pressure on holiday companies to stop increasing their prices during peak periods and especially in particular during school term times. If Ofsted and the Government want to increase school attendance and improve the percentage of absences this is the only fair way to achieve it. New legislation enforcing fines is not the answer. Most families struggle to survive in the current economic climate without having to pay premium prices to enjoy a holiday. without fear of consequences from their local school..
