Closed Instruct bus and train operators to switch off their engines when not in use

Trains left standing without a driver but with the engine left running at station platforms are consuming precious fuel resources, and also causing un neccesary pollution.

Equally bus engines are frequently left running while the driver is having a tea or ciggarette break or just left at a terminus for the next driver to take over.

Millions of litres of fuel are being wasted by bus and train operators by these practices.

Therefore please instruct operators to save fuel by switching off engines for periods of idleness, and also when left without a driver at the wheel
