The Secretary of State for Northern Ireland lives in splendour, like a vice-Regent, in the enormous Hillsborough Castle, which must cost a fortune to run. The Government should sell it off to reduce costs and to show that the cuts aren't just for the sick,disabled and families. If worried about security the Secretary of State could have one of the large Army houses in Thiepval Barracks, Lisburn.
