In a time of austerity where many families are struggling to put food on the table, it is being proposed that MPs receive a substantial pay rise.

Many top MPs have stated how unfair they believe this is.

In order to regain the confidence of their constituents, if forced to take a pay rise, they should donate it to the food banks that are holding the poorest people in the country together.
