Petition Equal access to domestic abuse services

This petition asks the government to make amendments to the Sex Discrimination Act to include any sections which relate to restrictions on accessing services based on gender or sexuality where the individual is at risk of emotional or physical harm and the risk of harm is increased when denied services within the person's local area including safe accommodation which does not share communal sanitary facilities

Any safe accommodation for the purposes of protecting victims of domestic abuse established after the passing of these amendments must be provided with self-contained sanitary provision so as to provide safe accommodation accessible to men, women and boys and girls over 10 years of age and which provides access to family accommodation for men or women with children.
